Setting Up an Affiliate System – Self Hosted or Affiliate Network

There are two ways you can choose when thinking of creating your own affiliate program:

1. use an affiliate network
2. host your own tracking tool

Using an affiliate network is the easiest way to go in my opinion, all you need to do is to register an affiliate network as a vendor, what most of the networks give is a ready to go, tested platform to manage affiliates, and make sales. All networks have stats integrated into their systems.

The second choice is better if you want to manage all these tasks by yourself, it is actually using a script that let you integrate your affiliate system into your sales funnel.

All stats and tools are in house, and there are no additional fees needed to pay to a network.
