Many of your top affiliates have their own customer lists they promote to

In recruiting top affiliates for your affiliate program, one thing you need to keep in mind is that many of these top affiliates have their own customer lists they promote to.  As a result, they too want to provide value to their customer lists whenever possible.

Therefore, if you can provide special benefits or perks to that top affiliate’s list, you’ll increase your chances of successfully recruiting him/her into your affiliate sales force.

For instance, if you provide a special price for just the top affiliate’s buyers (i.e. those who buy through the affiliate’s link), the affiliate will receive good publicity from his/her list because he/she provided the list with a special, exclusive offer that only a small group can take advantage of.  Likewise, if you provide that affiliate with special bonuses that only his/her customers can access, that again will make the affiliate look good in the eyes of his/her list, and will likely increase your chances of the affiliate joining your affiliate sales force.  This is because the affiliate, like any Internet marketer, wants to show that he/she can provide exclusive offers for his/her list, which will boost his/her reputation and increase his/her profits, both in the short-term and in the long-term.

Therefore, by enabling the affiliate to do this more easily, he/she will be much more receptive to your affiliate program proposal, and will likely join it.
